As far as fantasies go, travelling like Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis in this 1958 TWA Airlines ad, is one of my biggest. I suppose back in the fifties, first class air travel was such a luxury that they afford to be generous with the space on the plane - hence the birth of the Siesta Sleeper Seat!
Everywhere, air travelers are discovering the TWA Siesta Sleeper Seat - the biggest bargain in air travel today! You lie far back for sleep or siesta... with six feet, five inches of contour comfort. Or sit up and enjoy 30% more living space and privacy. Siesta sleeper Seats are available at regular First Class fare on all non-stop Jetstream flights coast to coast. Please reserve early - this giant seat is very popular and only TWA offers it!
No wonder they're no longer in business... the size of a modern airline seat is smaller than an unfolded magazine. I always loved it in old movies where everyone was smoking, walking around, drinking out of crystal glasses and lounging in luxury. Good times... no more TWA... now we just have the TSA.
